Thelocactus conothelos

Scanning electron microscope micrographs of Thelocactus conothelos ssp. flavus seeds. Seeds are medium-sized to large, with the longest axis of 1,8-2,3 mm and a diameter of 1,5-1,7 mm. The hilum-micropylar border is expanded around and constricted above the hilum. The micropyle is fused with the hilum or lies onto its border. Anticlinal boundaries are raised and straight. Outer periclinal walls are low conical with a smooth surface.
