Echinocactus hexaedrophorus var. Labouretiana K. Schumann, Gesambt. Kakt. 438 (1898).
Var. β Labouretiana K. Sch. besitzt mehr zusammenhängende Rippen und Stacheln, welche besonders im jungen Austrieb sehr schön rot gefärbt sind.
